  • Traffic data management systems project's objectives are by and large defined in general statements. It is significant that the requirements for the traffic data developments are not be very explicit. If they are very definite, they may affect the way the traffic data project is designed, to the point of "not including" factors that seems unrelated but may be key to the analysis being carried out.
  • One of the major reasons for describing the scope of the project is to avoid invariable change throughout the life cycle as new requisites occur.
  • The key purpose of the TDMS project is for data analysis but not to muddle up operational objectives with the traffic data project's informational objectives.

The project will be developed in Oracle in all aspects. The Oracle 10g Database's Enterprise Edition will be used for the server. When tables are created there will be some advanced indexing techniques will be used which will improve the data retrieval and overall performance of the system. Some views are to be created for the purpose of the enhancing the performance of the data.
