Project management-related deliverables: business case, charter, team contract, scope statement, WBS, schedule, cost baseline, status reports, final project presentation, final project report, lessons-learned report, and any other documents required to manage the project.

Product-related deliverables: research reports, design documents, software code, hardware, etc.

  • Requirements definition: Requirements will be defined by carrying out surveys of potential customers. User, content, and system requirements will be drafted and reviewed with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Off-the-shelf system installation: Most of the required system will be purchased from ABC Co.. The system will be installed on equipment at the Cafe.  It is unclear at this point if the existing IT Infrastructure at the Cafe will be able to support the iPad application.  Full integration with existing back office, POS, and kitchen orders systems will be expected.
  • System customization: The system will be customized to (a) link to existing systems (b) linking to local Internet content and (c) allowing social media access.
  • Test plan: The test plan will document how the web-based application will be tested, who will do the testing, and how bugs will be reported.
  • Training, roll out, and support: (a) Training requirements will be defined, followed by the development of training materials and administration of training. (b) The new system will be rolled out to only the front tables of the cafe initially and then to the whole of the inside seating of the cafe. (c) A plan will be developed for how to support the new system, and support will be provided during roll out as part of this project.
  • Project benefit measurement plan: A project benefit plan will measure the financial value (both tangible and intangible) of the web-based application
  • Hardware: Computer hardware as deemed necessary by IT Professionals
