Product Layout - process design

Where the volume of output is high, as in large-batch and continuous operations, it becomes economically viable to lay out the processes
contiguously in the sequence required by the product. There are two sub-categories of product layout:

  1. Connected-flow and
  2. Disconnected-flow.
