Overview of Writing Research Proposal

It may be written in words of the researcher or as answers following the guidelines provided by the sponsoring organization. A review of proposal submitted by investigator helps both the investigator and reviewer to better understand the purpose and procedure of the study. 

Proposals are comparable to blueprints and serve the same function. The researcher presents a proposal for evaluation. The research proposal should have the following aspects:

- The problem should be specific enough to be solved
- Capable of being stated in one or more hypothesis
- The problem stated should be in a question form or declaration statement
- Should be testifiable
- Importance of problem need to be stated

• Beneficiaries 
• Implication 

- Assumptions, delimitations and operation definitions should be stated
- Outline of research procedure e.g. sample and method of data collection and data analysis needs to be included
- Budget of projected expenses must be specified
Proposals are essential and required for all research that must be funded and approved.
