Non-poisonous snakes can be brought into the classroom for observation. The diagram shows how a safe cage can be made for keeping a snake. The bottom should be covered with sand and gravel. A shallow pan of water should be placed in the cage. Various stones and a forked branch are also desirable. If snakes are reserved in a glass tank, this must be preserved from strong sunlight
