Multiple Layers of Intranet Security
Security requirements vary from organisation to organisation. They also vary on the content that the organisations intend to place on their servers. While for certain intranets simple security solutions are enough, for many organisations solution could be in the form of implementing more than a firewall or multi-layered security architecture.
A company can implement a wide range of security models but the most useful ones are those that are organised in multiple levels. Implementation of a multi-layered or multi-tiered scheme is easier and flexible than using all or no security approach in which a user allows either total access or provides a total denial.
