Michelson Morley Experiment
The Michelson-Morley experiment was performed within the year of 1887 through Albert Michelson and Edward Morley at what is presently Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. It attempted to detect the associatively motion of matter by the stationary luminiferous aether ("aether wind"). The negative results are commonly considered to be the first strong evidence against the then prevalent aether theory, and initiated a line of research in which eventually led to special associatively, in that the stationary aether concept has no role.
