Chordates are divided into vertebrates and protochordates (urochordates and cephalochordates).

Q. What are the differences between the other chordates and vertebrates?

Vertebrates are dissimilar because they have a spinal column vertebral column. In these animals the notochord of the embryonic stage is alternative by the vertebral column in adults.
