Maintenance of Earth Roads:
The main task in maintaining the earth road is to ensure that cross-section is intact and is free from rutting, depressions and corrugations, and there is adequate camber for surface run-off. A motor grader is ideal for the purpose. In its absence, an agricultural tractor towing a blade grader can be used. A drag (Figure) towed by an agricultural tractor or animals or humans can eliminate the corrugations.
