Q. Local Stresses?

Local stresses in the vessel shell/head/skirt/base rings from the lifting attachments (such as lugs, trunnions, etc.), shall be determined for the imposed loadings, using local stress analysis procedures such as WRC Bulletin 107 or other accepted local stress analysis procedures (e.g. finite element analysis).
