After database implementation project begins, general information model produced throughout database planning is reviewed and enhanced if needed. Throughout this process, firm collects information to answer following questions:

1. How many application programs are being used, what functions do they perform?
2. What files are associated with each of the applications?
3. What recent applications, files are under development?
