What is key meaning of excellence of bentonite slurry in construction of diaphragm walls?


Answer

Quality of slurry plays a significant role in quality of diaphragm walls. First, if a thick slurry cake is shaped in interface between slurry and in-situ soil, it has a leaning to fall off throughout concreting works and it mixes with newly placed concrete. Furthermore, large thickness of slurry cake would decrease concrete cover and affect prospect toughness act of diaphragm walls.
