Assignment Help:

Equal Distribution of Hereditary Material:

In mitosis the heredity material is equally distributed in the daughter cell.

2.No Change in Genetic Information:

As there is no crossing over or recombination, the genetic information remains unchanged generation after generation, thus continuity of similar information is ensured from parent to daughter cell.

3.Asexual reproduction:

Some organisms both plants and animals undergo asexual reproduction by mitosis.

4.Regenration:

The process by which lost organs are replaced by new ones takes place by mitosis.

5.Healing of Wounds:

Healing of wounds takes place by the formation of new tissue by mitosis.

6.Replacement of Older Cells:

It is also takes place by mitosis.

7.Development and Growth:

Development and growth of multicellular organisms depends upon orderly controlled mitosis.

8.Tissue Culture and Cloning:

Tissue culture and cloning seeks help through mitosis.

9.Tumors and Cancer:

The organisms requires managed, controlled and properly organized process of mitosis, which otherwise may result malfunction, unwanted tumors and lethal disease like cancer.
