Hypothesis on chlorofluorocarbon, Chemistry

Assignment Help:

Q. Hypothesis on chlorofluorocarbon?

A hypothesis is a probable explanation for what has been observed. Based on the explanation of ozone thinning and CFC build-up in the chemists Mario Molina, the atmosphere and F. Sherwood Rowland hypothesized that CFCs break in the atmosphere due to the Sun's ultraviolet rays. They additional hypothesized that a chlorine particle produced by the breakdown of CFCs could break down ozone.
