Hookes Law

Hooke's equation actually holds (to some extent) in several other situations whereas an elastic body is deformed, like as wind blowing on a tall building, a musician plucking a string of a violin, or the filling of a party balloon. An elastic body or material for that this equation can be supposed is said to be linear-elastic or Hookean.
