This assessment item requires you to write an essay.  

You have a choice of ONE of the following four topics:

1. Suicide in adolescent males in rural areas.
2. Diabetes among Indigenous people in remote, Queensland communities.
3. Skin Cancer among young adult Caucasians in Queensland.
4. Obesity in primary school children (5-12 years old).

In your essay you are to address the incidence and prevalence of the health condition in the particular group and to identify the risk and protective factors. You are then to discuss the implications for the role of the nurse in promoting health in the group.
