Give a simple example of dynamic modelling using these notation

A simple example using these notation is shown below in Figure:

States can be seen as composite states i.e. a group of states treated as one state at a higher level while analysis.  In the illustration above, state "In Library" is actually composed of a sequence of sub-states that library staff, if not borrowers will need to know about.
