Find max conversion time of 6-bit dual slope A/D converter, Computer Engineering

Assignment Help:

A 6-bit Dual Slope A/D converter uses a reference of -6V and a 1 MHz clock. It uses a fixed count of 40 (101000). Find Maximum Conversion Time.

Ans. The time T1 specified by
T1 = 2N TC                                             here N = number of Bits

Tc = Duration of time-period of clock pulse
As N = 6, TC = 1/ 1MHz = 1 µs.

Thus T1 = 26 X 10-6 s = 64 µs.
