Q. Factors that influence the effectiveness of operant learning ?

Numerous factors influence the effectiveness of operant learning. Generally the closer in time the consequences are to the behaviour the more effective the learning. That is electric utilities would be additional likely to influence consumers to use less electricity at peak hours if the consumers actually had to pay when they used electricity (example through a coin-slot) rather than at the end of the month. Learning is as well more likely to takes place when the individual can understand a relationship between behaviour and consequences (but learning may take place even if this relationship is not understood consciously).
