Pam worked at a local retail store for the past two years. At first, she loved her job; however, the store made a change in management at the end of her first year of employment. The female manager was replaced with Jeff. When Pam clocked in every day to work, Jeff would stand and watch her with his arms folded. Then, he would sing in a low voice, "Look at that beautiful Ms. Pam!" All during Pam's shift, Jeff would make comments about Pam's behind and when he would walk by Pam, he would pat her behind. It made Pam furious, but she needed her job. One day, Jeffrey pushed Pam into the bathroom and attempted to kiss her. Pam pushed past Jeff and ran back into the store. The next day, Jeff called Pam and told her that she was fired. Pam immediately called corporate headquarters citing that she was wrongfully discharged. Is Pam correct? Discuss why or why not. What remedies does an employee who has been wrongfully discharged have against an employer?
