Assignment Help:

Q. Explain working of Presentation Layer?

This is concerned with format of the data represented, in order to overcome difference in representation of information as supplied to one terminal and required at other. Its purpose is to make communication over the network machine independent. It resolves syntax differences by encoding data into standard abstract notation whichis valid throughout network. So file format differences, data structure, data representations are resolved by using a standard notation.
