Explain voltmeter, Physics

Assignment Help:

Voltmeter:

An electromechanical instrument which is used to calculate potential difference among two points is known as voltmeter.

Voltmeter is a modified form of a galvanometer. In order to change galvanometer in a voltmeter, a high resistance wire is linked in series along with the galvanometer that in presence of a high resistance wire in series, a galvanometer acts as a voltmeter.
