Explain Ventricular Fibrillation (VF) and Pulseless Ventricular Tachycardia (VT)
The commonest rhythm seen in cardiac arrest is VF, which may be preceded by a short period of VT or at times, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT). Basic life support must be started if a defibrillator cannot be obtained immediately, but should not delay the delivery of shock.
