Assignment Help:

Question:

(a) In computer graphics it is important to distinguish between the two approaches to graphical modeling:vector graphics and raster graphics. Explain in details the differences in these graphic models.

(b) Why is the quality of an original bitmapped image distorted when reducing or increasing its size?

(c) A flower is shown using the vector-based tool Illustrator. Is it possible to apply special effects such as noise distortion or blurring on the vector image? If not, state why and describe what should be xone first before applying these effects.

(d) For each of the following kinds of image, which would be more suitable, bitmapped images or vector graphics?

(i) Circuit diagrams.
(ii) Architectural drawings.
(iii) Botanical drawings.
(iv) Pie Charts.
(v) Fingerprints.
(vi) A map of the world.
(vii) Brain scans.
(viii) Illustrations for a children's alphabet book.
(ix) A reproduction of the Mona Lisa.
