Q. Explain types of Micro-instructions?

In general micro-instruction can be classifiedin two general kinds. These are non-branching and branching. After execution of a non-branching micro-instruction subsequent micro-instruction is the one following current micro-instruction. Though the sequences of micro-instructions are relatively small and last just for 3 or 4 micro-instructions.

A conditional branching micro-instruction examines conditional variable or a flag produced by an ALU operation. Generally branch address is contained in micro-instruction itself.
