Explain the uses of arithmetic processor
A processor has arithmetic processor (as a sub part of it) which executes arithmetic operations. The data type, assumed to reside in the processor, registers during execution of an arithmetic instruction. Negative numbers can be in a signed magnitude or signed complement representation. There are three ways of demonstrating negative fixed point these are- binary numbers signed magnitude, signed 1's complement or signed 2's complement. Most computers use signed magnitude representation for mantissa.
