OBJECT MODELING NOTATIONS: BASIC

Concepts

A system is the collection of subsystems which organised to accomplish a purpose and described by a set of models from various viewpoints.

A model is a semantically closed concept of a system that represents a complete and self-consistent simplification of reality, created in order to better understand system.

A view is the projection into an organisation and structure of a system's model, focused on one aspect of that system. 

A diagram is a graphical representation of a set of elements.
