Explain The cardiovascular type of infantile beriberi?

It manifests itself in babies between the ages of 2 and 4 months. The onset is acute with classical signs and symptoms of congestive cardiac failure, tachycardia, and dyspnoea, enlargement of the heart, elevated venous pressure, enlarged tender liver, oedema and oliguria. In some infants, cyanosis and pulmonary oedema may develop rapidly and death may ensue in a matter of few hours.
