Explain the term Marketing and Selling.

Marketing and Selling: The marketing theory is a management orientation which holds that the key task of the organization is to find out the wants, needs and values of a target market and to adopt the organization to deliver the required satisfaction more efficiently and effectively than its competitors.

The selling Concept is a management orientation that assumes as consumers will generally not buy adequate of the Company's products unless they are approached along with a promotional effort and substantial selling. 

Selling focuses on the requirements of the seller, while marketing focuses on the requirements of the buyers. Selling is preoccupied along with the seller's require to convert his goods in cash, while marketing lays emphasis on satisfying the requirements of the customers by means of the product he needs. Marketing tries to identify and understand the customer, with the product or service that fits him and sells itself.  In fact Marketing is the other name for selling with the inference that this is a long-haired method. Marketing is a more costly way of selling.
