Explain the persistent class maps to one relational table

In most of cases, persistent class maps to one relational table (keeping aside inheritance issue, for the moment). In simplest model, a class from logical model maps to a relational table either in whole or in part. Logical extension is that a single object (or instance of a class) maps to a single table row.
