Channel intermediaries occur to adjust the discrepancy of assortment from the performance of the sorting process. Moreover increasing the efficiency of transactions, there intermediaries smooth the flow of goods and services through creating possession, time and place utilities. Such utilities enhance the potency of the consumer’s assortment. First aspect of this smoothing process requires which intermediaries engage within a sorting function.
