The basic procedure for developing a new product, and supporting it while marketed, included distinct steps that are constant no matter what type of product is produced. Initial screening in product development roughly defines the final product. The objective during this phase of life cycle is to formulate and physically prepare a prototype that is close to the final product, yet knowing the product will go through extensive optimization.
