Explain properties and application of Aluminium.
Properties of Aluminium:
1) Pure aluminium in colour is silver white.
2) Aluminium is a ductile metal and can be put to a shape by drawing, forging and rolling.
3) Aluminium melts at 6550C.
4) Aluminium is resistant to corrosion.
5) Its tensile strength is 60MN/m2.
6) Aluminium can be alloyed with the other elements.
7) Annealing can soften Aluminium.
8) Aluminium has a higher thermal conductivity.
Applications of Aluminium:
It is widely used as conductor for power transmission and distribution. Aluminium is used busbars, in overhead transmission lines and ACSR conductors.
Q. A magnetic force exists between two adjacent, parallel current-carryingwires. Let I1 and I2 be the currents carried by the wires, and r the separation between them.
Dc Circuits: In this unit, you have learned about methods of network analysis which are general in nature such as KCL, KVL, Nodal and Mesh analysis. These general methods may
Q. When the two-wattmeter method for measuring three-phase power is used on a certain balanced load, readings of 1200W and 400W are obtained (without any reversals). Determine the

what is the difference between ac and dc currents?
Considering the circuit shown in Figure (a), find the state of operation and operating point if the BJT has β = 80 and other typical values of a silicon BJT at room temperature.
Hexadecimal is of use in IT because (1) It is a compact system (e.g. only 3 digits represent the number 986) (2) As 16 are a power of 2 it turns out to be quite easy to conv
Q. Show Power and Power Factor in ac Circuits? Power is the rate of change of energy with respect to time. The unit of power is a watt (W), which is a joule per second (J/s). T
What are the basic components in a Microprocessor? 1) Address lines to refer to the address of a block 2) Data lines for data transmit 3) IC chips 4 processing data
Q. What do you mean by Amplifier block? An amplifier can be modeled as a two-port device, that is, a box with two pairs of terminals designated as input and output, as shown in
