Explain Mental changes - clinical signs of kwashiorkor?

You would find a kwashiorkor child to be unusually apathetic with absolutely no interest in the surroundings. The child will also be irritable and prefers to stay at one place and in one position. The signs discussed above are essentially present in a child suffering from kwashiorkor.
