Explain glucose molecule runs the krebs cycle twice, Biology

Assignment Help:

Why can it be said that each glucose molecule runs the Krebs cycle twice?

Every glucose molecule "cycles" the Krebs cycle twice because after glycolysis each used glucose has generated two pyruvic acid molecules and each pyruvic acid is changed in a 1:1 proportion into acetyl CoA. Each acetyl CoA then cycles the Krebs cycle once.
