Explain about the function of network layer briefly in TCP/IP protocol stack.

Internetwork Layer:

The best-called TCP/IP protocol at internetwork layer is Internet Protocol i.e., IP that provides the fundamental packet delivery service for each TCP/IP networks. Moreover to the physical node addresses used at the network access layer, there IP protocol implements a system of logical host addresses termed as IP addresses.
