Explain Enzymatic Proteins

The most varied and most highly specialized proteins are those with catalytic activity - the enzymes. Virtually all the chemical reactions of organic biomolecules in cells, you might be aware, are catalyzed by enzymes. More than 2,000 enzymes are known. Special class of enzymes fulfills a mechanochemical role, for example actin, myosin and related proteins of muscle structure are responsible for the conversion of chemical energy into mechanical work.
