Downward communication: It moves downward in an organisation. The formal communication in between a subordinate and superior where the superior sends directions or instructions to his subordinates is downward communication. Such downward communication from the superior to the subordinate should be:

Finish in all respects

- In a clear language it issued

- On time

- Rational

- Able of implementation

- In writing

- Described clearly as to its purpose 

- To the point and brief
