Explain Direct broadcast & limited broadcast.
Broadcast is a method to send a packet to all the stat ions on an exact network at once. Broadcast systems permit the possibility of addressing a packet to all destinations through using a particular code in the address field. While a packet along with this code is transmitted, this is received and processed through every machine on the network. It is termed as direct broadcasting. The directed broadcast address for a network is formed through adding a suffix which consists of all 1 bits to the network prefix.
The incomplete broadcast refers to a broadcast upon a local physical network. Limited broadcast is used throughout system start up through computers which dosed not yet identify the network number. The IP limited Broadcast address is found through set ting all 32 bits of the IP address to a value of 1.
