Assignment Help:

Q. Explain Colligative properties of Solutions?

Colligative properties of solutions are those properties which depend on the concentration of the solution rather that the type of substance in the solution.

The following colligative properties result from increasing the concentration of a solution:

  • The vapor pressure of the solution is lowered
  • The boiling point is increased
  • The freezing point is decreased
