Q. Explain basic function of Keyboard?

Keyboard is the major input device for your computer. It is an accurate and fast device. The multiple character keys permit you to transmit data to your computer like a stream of characters in a serial manner. The keyboard is one device that can be used in public spaces or offices where privacy is not ensured. Keyboard is efficient in jobs such as data entry. The keyboard is one device that will stay on for years to come most likely even after powerful voice-based input devices have been developed.

The precursor of keyboard was mechanical typewriter therefore it has inherited many of the properties of typewriter.
