Systemic azole antifungals currently available in the US contain fluconazole (Diflucan, and others), itraconazole (Sporanox), voriconazole (Vfend) and ketoconazole (Nizoral, and others). All act by blocking the activity of 14-alpha-demethylase, leading to inhibition of ergosterol synthesis.
