Adverse effects of Fungal Prophylaxis - Micafungin is generally well tolerated.

Adverse events have included fever, headache, nausea, vomiting, diar-rhea, leukopenia, hepatic enzyme abnormalities, and phlebitis at the injection site. Possible histamine-mediated symptoms like rash, pruritus, facial swelling and vasodilatation have also occurred. Isolated cases of anaphylaxis and hemolysis have been reported.
