Q. Explain about Sulphuric Acid?

Sulphuric acid is one of the most important chemicals, both in industry as well as in the laboratory.

Two methods are industrially used for the manufacture of H2SO4,. These are: i) lead chamber process and ii) contact process. Both these processes involve three basic steps namely,

i) Production of SO2,

ii) Oxidati6n of SO2, to SO3,

iii) Conversion of SO3, to H2,SO4,
