EXCRETION IN AMOEBA -

  1. NHis excreted out through plasmalemma.
  2. Osmoregulation takes place by contractile vacoule, generally one, towards posterior end, contractile in nature, having power of regeneration.
  3. Around it mitochondria are maximum. Contractile vacuole is surrounded by small water globules.
  4. Animal is fresh water. Water enters in to animal by endosmosis.
  5. Increase quantity of water is collected by water globules & given to contractile vacuole.
  6. So size of contractile vacuole is increased i.e. diastole is gradual. Close to plasmalemma it shrinks, systole is sudden.
