Intra oral peri apical radiographs, cephalograms, panoramic radiographs and Computed tomographies are necessary for complete survey of teeth and adjacent bony structures.  Denta Scan  can be used to evaluate the buccolingual width, distance from the vital anatomical structures and assessment of  bone density at the surgical site
