Stacks are often used in evaluation of arithmetic expressions. An arithmetic expression contains operands & operators. Polish notations are evaluated through stacks. Conversions of different notations (Prefix, Postfix, Infix) in one another are performed by using stacks. Stacks are extensively used inside computer while recursive functions are called. The computers appraise arithmetic expression written into infix notation in two steps. First one, it converts the infix expression to postfix expression & then this evaluates the postfix expression. In each of step, stack is utilized to accomplish the task.
Explain the halting problem Given a computer program and an input to it, verify whether the program will halt on that input or continue working indefinitely on it.
Ans: A procedure to reverse the singly linked list: reverse(struct node **st) { struct node *p, *q, *r; p = *st; q = NULL; while(p != NULL) { r =q;
Assume a complete binary tree T with n nodes where each node has an item (value). Label the nodes of the complete binary tree T from top to bottom & from left to right 0, 1, ..., n

Which sorting algorithm is easily adaptable to singly linked lists? Simple Insertion sor t is easily adabtable to singly linked list.
Explain an efficient method of storing a sparse matrix in memory. Write a module to find the transpose of the sparse matrix stored in this way. A matrix which contains number o
How to measure the algorithm's efficiency? It is logical to examine the algorithm's efficiency as a function of some parameter n showing the algorithm's input size. Instance
Task If quicksort is so quick, why bother with anything else? If bubble sort is so bad, why even mention it? For that matter, why are there so many sorting algorithms? Your
