Evaluate the thickness of the shell plate, Electrical Engineering

Assignment Help:

A cylindrical shell with flat ends is of 1.5 m Internal diameter and 4 m length. It is subjected to an internal pressure of 300 N/cm2. The principal stress is not to exceed 15 KN/cm2. Evaluate the thickness of the shell plate, changes in diameter, volume, length, and of shell. Take E=200 Gpa and poisson ratio as 0.25
