Simplify; 5x = 90. Divide both sides by 5; x = 18. The larger angle is 4x or 4(18), which same to 72°. If you select c, the original equation was set same to 180 rather than 90, and you solved for the larger angle. If you select d, you solved the original equation correctly; thus, you solved for the smaller of the two angles.
