Maureen is a 50 year old married mother of three school age children. She works part-time at the local bank as a teller. She is going through menopause and is finding it very annoying. She tends to comfort eat to make her feel better. As a result of this, she is putting on weight and is losing her self-esteem about her appearance. She has decided that she does not like her job anymore and wants to go back to university. She is worried about her ability to study again at this late age. Maureen is attending her appointment to talk to the nurse about her concerns.
1. Describe how you will assess the client and provide evidence to link the assessment to the developmental stage of the client (Assessment)
2. Identify one (1) area of concern for the client and discuss the possible implications of the concerns identified (Problem statement)
3. Discuss what can be done to help with the concern identified (Plan)
4. Outline the client education required to address the identified area of concern and give details about how you will undertake the education (Implementation)
5. Explain how you will evaluate if the interventions have been successful or not (Evaluation)
